Dahi Ke Parathe
Dahi ka Paratha is very popular bread commonly served for breakfast. Dahi in Hindi means Curd and Paratha is Indian bread made with Wheat flour. If you want to try something different instead of regular roti or Paratha this reciepe is for you. Today in this blog post I will show you how you can make easy and tasty Dahi Ka Paratha at home in simple steps.
Preparation Time : 10 minutes
Resting Time : 15 minutes
Serving : 2-3 persons
Ingredients :
- Wheat Flour - 2 cups + 2 tablespoon
- Curd / Dahi - 3/4 cup
- Red Chili Powder - 1/2 tablespoon
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tablespoon
- Coriander Powder - 1/2 tablespoon
- Ginger Paste - 1/2 tablespoon
- Kasoori Methi / Dried Fenugreek Leaf - 1/2 tablespoon
- Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon
- Carom Seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - according to taste
- Fresh Coriander Leaf - 2-3 tablespoon fine chopped
- Fresh Mint Leaf - 2-3 tablespoon fine chopped
- Water - for kneading
- Oil - 2-3 tablespoon + for roasting

Steps :

2. Take the flour in a mixing bowl, add all seasonings along salt and mix well.
3. Add fresh greens in the flour mixture, mix well.
4. Add lemon juice and mix well in the mixed flour.
5. Add curd / dahi and mix well. Add little bit of water at a time and knead smooth and soft dough.
6. The dough is kneaded well and ready. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
7. Take ball size portion from the dough, smooth it and dust little bit of flour on it.
8. Roll the ball little bit. Apply little bit of oil on the sheet and dust little bit of flour on it to make some layers in the paratha. (You can simply skip this part after rolling and directly go to step 12)
9. Fold the sheet from both the sides, apply little bit of oil and dust some flour again.
10. Fold it again from the opposite sides and press it a little bit. Dust some flour on top and roll it in thin square sheet.
11. The paratha is ready to cook.
12. Heat griddle/ pan, put the rolled paratha on the hot pan / griddle and let it slightly cook on one side.
13. Flip the paratha and apply little bit of oil on the cooked side.
14. Apply oil on both the sides of the paratha and roast it till get cooked and turns brown and crispy from both the sides.
15. Serve hot with some butter on top and enjoy with your favorite curry.
