Thekua

  Thekua Thekua is a cookie famous in Eastern part of India. Thekua is made with wheat flour and Semolina dough along with cashews and other dry fruits.It is crunchy outside but soft from inside. Kids like it because of its sweetness. It is very commonly prepared during festival of Chaat in Eastern India.Today I am preparing this recipe at home in simple steps. Preparation Time : 15 minutes Frying Time : 4-5 minutes Ingredients :  Wheat Flour - 2 cups Semolina / Rava / Sooji - 3/4 cup (raw) Sugar - 3/4 cup Ghee / Clarified Butter - 2 tablespoon Cardamom Powder - 1 teaspoon Fennel Seeds - 1 1/2 tablespoon Cashew - 1 1/2 tablespoon fine chopped Dry Coconut - 1 1/2 tablespoon fine chopped Almonds - 1 1/2 tablespoon fine chopped Water - 3/4 cup Oil - for frying Steps : 1.   Kaju Katli   Kaju Katli is very famous Indian sweet dish prepared from cashew. This is very commonly available in sweet shops on festive occasions. On auspicious occasion of Diwali festival I am sharing how to prepare Kaju Katli at home in simple steps. You will need cashews, sugar, milk powder and cardamom powder to prepare this at home. You can have it with tea or coffee.
