   Paneer Bhurji Curry 


Paneer Bhurji is made of cottage cheese cooked in curry .It can be served with bowl of rice or Indian roti (or naan) .Cottage cheese is grated in smaller chunks before used in curry .The curry is made of special spices that gives great flavor and taste .Today I am cooking this and hope this blog post helps you in your preparation .

Preparation Time : 10 minutes
Cooking Time : 15 minutes
Serving : 2-3 persons
Ingredients :
  1. Paneer / Cottage Cheese - 50 grams
  2. Green Peas - 1/2 cup
  3. Onion - 1 sliced
  4. Green Chili - 2 slit
  5. Tomato - 1 chopped
  6. Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tablespoon
  7. Coriander Leaf - 1/2 cup chopped
  8. Coriander Seeds - 1 tablespoon
  9. Bay Leaf - 1
  10. Salt - According to taste
  11. Turmeric Powder - 1 teaspoon
  12. Red Chili Powder - 1 tablespoon
  13. Cumin Seeds - 1 teaspoon
  14. Cloves - 5-6
  15. Cumin Coriander Powder - 1 tablespoon
  16. Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 tablespoon 
  17. Water - 1/2 cup
  18. Oil - 2 tablespoon

Steps:
1. Here are all the ingredients.
2. Grate the paneer / cottage cheese with a grater, and keep it side. Do not grate very thin slices.
3. Crush the coriander seeds lightly. Do not make its powder.
4. Heat 2 tablespoon of water in a pan / wok, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cloves and crushed coriander seeds and saute them for 1 minute on medium flame.
5. Add sliced onion and slit green chilies and saute till onion turns little translucent.
6. Add chopped tomatoes and ginger garlic paste (click here), saute till tomatoes gets little mushy.
7. Add all the powdered spices, mix well, cover and cook till the mixture separates oil.
8. Add green peas in the mixture. Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Here I am using frozen green peas.
9. Add 1/2 cup of water and grated paneer / cottage cheese, cover and cook for 5-7 minutes.
10. Add chopped coriander leaf and mix well.
11. Serve hot and enjoy with your favorite naan/ roti or rice.
