  Gobi Paratha

Gobi paratha is a type of bread, originating from the Indian subcontinent (North India), that is stuffed with cauliflower flavored with spices. It is usually served as breakfast along with curd, butter or pickle.
Preparation Time : 15 minutes
Cooking time : 10 minutes
Serving : 2 persons
Ingredients : 

For Filling :

  1. Gobi / Cauliflower - 1 1/2 cup fine chopped
  2. Onion - 1 fine chopped
  3. Green Chili - 2 fine chopped
  4. Ginger - 1 inch fine chopped
  5. Green Coriander Leaves - 1/4 cup fine chopped
  6. Cumin Seeds - 1 teaspoon
  7. Salt - according to taste
  8. Turmeric Powder - 1 teaspoon
  9. Chat Masala - 1/2 tablespoon
  10. Coriander Cumin Powder - 1 tablespoon
  11. Oil - 1 1/2 tablespoon + for roasting

For Dough :

  1. Wheat Flour - 1 1/2 cup
  2. Oil - 1 tablespoon
  3. Carom Seeds - 1 tablespoon
  4. Water - 1/2 cup

Steps: 
1. Here are all the ingredients.
2. Take the wheat flour in a big bowl, add carom seeds, oil and mix well. 
3. Add little bit of water at a time and make a smooth and soft dough. Cover the dough and keep it side.
4. Heat oil in a pan on medium heat and add cumin seeds. Let the cumin seeds splutter.
5. Add fine chopped onion and green chili, stir and saute till onion turns slightly translucent.
6. Add fine chopped cauliflower / gobi, fine chopped ginger, powdered seasonings and mix well. Cover and cook for 10 minutes on low flame. Stir occasionally.
7. The filling is ready. Do not overcook the mixture.
8. Add fine chopped coriander leaves. Mix well with filling mixture. Transfer the mixture in a plate and let it cool down completely.
9. Divide the dough in small ball, make it smooth and dust some flour over it.
10. Slightly roll the ball, and put 1 1/2 tablespoon of made filling in the middle.
11. Pinch from the sides in the middle and cover nicely. Make a smooth ball out of it.
12. Roll the filled ball slightly into a pratha . Heat a griddle/ tawa, and put the rolled pratha .
13. Cook the pratha slightly on one side on medium flame and flip it.
14. Cook the pratha on other side, apply oil on both the sides and roast till golden.
15. Roasted nicely on both sides. Make all the paratha like this.
16. Serve hot with some mint dip and some curd. Enjoy.
