Samosa is a very popular snack in northern part of India, usually served with mint chutney or tangy tomato chutney. The potato filling is mixed with various spices and other diced vegetables which makes this very tasty. Today I am making samosa with a twist. I will show how to prepare Bread Samosa at home in simple steps. Please follow along.
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Frying Time: 4-5 minutes

Ingredients:
  1. Potato - 1-2 boiled
  2. Onion - 1/2 cup fine chopped
  3. Green Chili - 1 tablespoon fine chopped
  4. Ginger - 1 tablespoon fine chopped
  5. Coriander Seeds - 1 tablespoon
  6. Cumin Seeds - 1 teaspoon
  7. Green Peas - 1/2 cup
  8. Coriander Seeds - 2 tablespoons fine chopped
  9. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Garam Masala - 1 tablespoon
  11. Chaat Masala - 1 tablespoon
  12. Salt - according to taste
  13. Bread - 4-5 slices
  14. All-Purpose Flour - 1 tablespoon
  15. Water - 2 tablespoon
  16. Oil - 2 tablespoon + for frying

Steps :

1. Here are all the ingredients. Here I have already boiled and peeled the potatoes.
2. Heat a pan and roast the coriander seeds for 2-3 minutes.
3. Take out the roasted coriander seeds and let it cool down slightly. Crush them coarsely. Keep it aside.
4. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan/wok, add cumin seeds and crushed coriander seeds and let them splutter on medium heat for 30 seconds.
5. Add finely chopped ginger and saute it for 30 seconds on medium heat.
6. Add finely chopped onion and green chilli, saute them 2-3 minutes.
7. Add the seasonings. Mix well and saute it for 30 seconds.
8. Roughly crush the potato and add in the mixture. Mix well.
9. Add green peas along with salt. Mix well and cook the mixture for 4-5 minutes.
NOTE: Here I am using frozen green peas, if you are using fresh green peas, add them with onion to cook them properly.
10. Add some fresh coriander leaf and mix well.
11. Take out the mixture in a plate and let it cools down completely.
12. Take 2 tablespoons of water in 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour and mix well.
13. Make a smooth and lump-free paste.
14. Take a bread slice and cut its sides (brown part).
15. Roll the bread with a rolling pin and make it flat. Apply the flour paste on one side of the bread.
16. Now roll the bread and bring both the ends together to make a cone shape. Pinch slightly on the joint.
17. Fill 1 1/2 tablespoon of potato filling in the cone and apply the made paste on the cone-shaped crown and gently seal the samosa. Pinch on the joints to seal it perfectly.
18. Now the samosa is ready.
19.  Heat oil in a pan/wok to fry on medium heat and fry the ready samosa from all the sides till golden brown. Keep the flame on medium.
20. Once done, serve hot and enjoy with your favourite sauce.
