Paalak Kadhi
Paalak or Spinach leafs are very good for health. If you want to try something new with the Spinach this blog post is for you. Today I will be covering how to prepare Paalak Kadhi at home using simple ingredients. Follow below simple steps to prepare a delicious and healthy kadhi at home.

Serving : 2-3 persons
Ingredients :
- Paalak / Spinach - 1 cup
- Gram Flour / Besan - 1/4 cup
- Curd / Dahi - 1/2 cup
- Turmeric Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Red Chili Powder - 1 tablespoon
- Garam Masala - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic Paste - 1/2 tablespoon
- Asafoetida / Hing - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fenugreek Seeds / Methi - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - according to taste
- Water - 2 cups
- Oil - 1 1/2 tablespoon + 1 tablespoon
- Whole Red Chili - 2
- Mustard Seeds - 1 tablespoon

Steps :

2. Chop the paalak roughly and keep it side.
3. Take gram flour / besan, curd / dahi and whisk it to form lump free batter.
4. Take turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder and asafoetida / hing and mix well in the besan and dahi mixture.
5. Once mixed, add 2 cups of water, mix well and keep it side.
6. Heat 1 1/2 tablespoon of oil in a pan on medium heat, add garlic paste and saute for 30 seconds.
7. Add roughly chopped spinach and saute them for 2-3 minutes or till spinach starts wilting.
8. Add gram flour / besan mixture, turns the heat on low and let it cook for 10 minutes on medium heat. Stir occasionally.
9. Add salt, mix well and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.
10. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in pan, add mustard and fenugreek seeds and let them splutter.
11. Add whole red chili and red chili powder (optional) and saute them for 30 seconds.
12. Add the tempering in the kadhi and mix well.
13. Serve the kadhi with your favorite naan / roti or rice and enjoy hot.
