Homemade Rava Pasta
Semolina is the coarse, purified wheat of durum wheat mainly used in making different recipes and is healthier option than fine flour. Today I am making Rava/ Semolina pasta with some easy steps.
Preparation Time : 10 minutes

Shaping Time : 15-20 minutes
Boiling Time : 2-3 minutes
Serving : 2-3 persons
Ingredients:
For Pasta:
- Potato - 4 boiled
- Rava/ Semolina/ Sooji - 3/4 cup
- Salt - 1 tablespoon
- Turmeric Powder - 1 tablespoon
- Chili Flakes - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon/Lime Juice - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Oil - 1 tablespoon
For Sauce:
- Garlic - 1 tablespoon fine chopped
- Onion - 1 fine chopped
- Green Peas - 2-3 tablespoon
- Sweet Corn - 2-3 tablespoon
- Red Bell Pepper/ Capsicum - 2-3 tablespoon
- Cumin Seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander Leaves - 2 tablespoon chopped
- Tomato Sauce - 1-2 tablespoon
- Oil - 2 tablespoon
- Water - For boiling

Steps:
1. Here are all the ingredients. I have already boiled the potatoes.
2. Peel the boiled potato and mash it with hands or with a masher. For better result, preferably grate the potatoes with a grater.
24. Add chili flakes for some spicy taste, mix well.
25. Add chopped coriander leaves, saute for a minute.
26. Serve hot.

3. Add Semolina/ Rava , salt, turmeric powder and chili flakes in the grated potato.
4. Add 1 tablespoon of oil and 1 tablespoon of lime/lemon juice and mix with the mixture.
5. After mixing all the ingredients, the mixture starts to combine.
6. Add 1/4 cup of water (add gradually), and knead to a soft and smooth dough.
7. Now the dough is ready.
8. Make the dough soft and smooth, the rava/ semolina will absorb the access water.
9. Cover the dough with damp cheese/ cotton cloth, and let it sit for 10 minutes.
10. After 10 minutes, grease your hand with oil and knead the dough lightly, make small balls out of it.
11. Take a fork and grease the bottom side with oil.
12. Take a ball and flat on the greased side of the fork and press lightly.
13. Roll down the flat dough to form a roll very gently.
14. Make all the rolls.
15. I made 2 different shapes. You can make your favorite shape.
16. Heat 2-3 cups of water in a pan, once water starts to boil, add the shaped pasta and boil on high heat.
17. After 2-3 minutes, pasta starts floating on the water, that means the pasta are cooked well. drain all the pasta in a plate.
18. Boil all the pasta and drain them. Keep it side and let them cool.
19. Heat 2 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan/wok, add cumin seeds and let it splutter.
20. Add fine chopped garlic and onions and saute them for a minute.
21. Add green peas, sweet corn and red bell peppers/ capsicum and saute for a while.
22. Add little bit of salt and tomato sauce and mix well.
23. Add the boiled pasta in the sauce and saute for a minute.24. Add chili flakes for some spicy taste, mix well.
25. Add chopped coriander leaves, saute for a minute.
26. Serve hot.
27. Enjoy.
