Peanut Coconut Dip
Peanut Coconut dip is a Southern Indian side-dish and condiment, a common in the Indian subcontinent. It is made with raw coconut and peanut. It is served with various South Indian Dishes.
Preparation Time : 5 minutesRoasting Time :5 minutes
Ingredients:
- Peanut- 1/4 cup
- Raw Coconut - 1/2 cup
- Cumin Seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Whole Red Chili - 1
- Salt - According to taste
- Black Mustard Seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Split Chickpea/ Chana Daal - 1/2 tablespoon
- Split Black Gram / Urad Daal - 1/2 tablespoon
- Oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps :
1. Here are all the ingredients.
2. Heat a pan/wok, add peanut, split chickpea/ chana daal, split black gram / urad daal and dry roast for 2-3 minutes.
3. Add cumin seeds and whole red chili and roast for more 2 minutes.
4. Transfer the roasted ingredients to a bowl and let it cool down.
5. Take a grinder, add sliced raw coconut, roasted ingredients, salt and 3-4 tablespoon of water and grind it to a smooth and thick paste.
6. The dip is grind well. Keep it aside.
7. Heat oil in a pan/ wok, add 1 tablespoon of black mustard seeds and let it splutter.
8. Once spluttered, add the tempering to the made dip and mix well.
9. Enjoy the dip with your favorite fritters, foods, South Indian Foods.
